Drake and Justin Bieber weren’t the only ones premiering new music on OVOSOUND Radio on Saturday (Jun. 4). OVO’s Roy Woods comes through and gets freaky on his summer-ready single, “Gwan Big Up Urself.”
The Canadian rapper-singer, who released his Exis EP last July, summed up the infectious island-flavored track with the hashtag “#FunSummerVibes.”
During Saturday’s OVOSOUND episode, Drake also premiered Bieber’s “One Dance (Remix),” Gucci Mane’s Drake-assisted “Back on Road,” and his own solo cut, “4PM in Calabasas.”
Roy’s fun summer vibes are turning into a new project. According to OVO’s Oliver El-Khatib, Roy’s upcoming effort—Waking at Dawn—is slated to drop next month. Starting July 20, you can also catch him on Drake’s “Summer Sixteen Tour.”
