ILoveMakonnen Disses Drake After Leaving OVO

ILoveMakonnen seems to have no love for Drake and his former OVO family. After severing ties with the label, the “Tuesday” hitmaker threw a few jabs at his former label boss.

In a video chat with fans, Makonnen disses Drizzy’s album Nothing Was the Same while trying to recreate its cover, the one that features Drake’s side profile in front of clouds.

“It look like Views From the… or what’s that ni**a’s album?” he says, while turning his face to show his side profile in front of clouds. “What’s that dumbass album with the sky shit? Take Care or some shit?”

After that, Makonnen answers a question about his departure from OVO Sound with a joke about his weight fluctuation.

“Why you leave OVO? ‘Cause I was underweight now,” says Makonnen, who recently released Drink More Water 6. “When I was overweight, they were fucking with me. That’s what OVO stands for: Overweight Only. Overweight ni**as only.”

It’s unclear why Makonnen and OVO cut ties. Prior to announcing his departure, he teased an OVO Sound compilation.
