Is Kanye West Collaborating with IKEA?

Does Yeezy have an IKEA collaboration on the way? Kanye West visited the furniture giant’s headquarters in Sweden this week, leading to speculation about the experience.

“Super inspired by my visit to Ikea today,” tweeted ‘Ye. “Really amazing company… my mind is racing with the possibilities.”

While Kanye noted his inspiration as a result of the visit, IKEA also commented on the meeting, without going into details about why the two parties met.

“At IKEA we are constantly curious about different people, companies, artists and events around the world,” the company told the New York Daily News. “To have these connections and inspiring meetings is an important way for us to find new ways to create a better everyday life for the many people.”

According to the Daily News, Yeezy is tied to IKEA thanks to Katie Eary. The designer worked on his Paris Fashion Week collection in 2011 and now has a limited-edition collab with the furniture company.

Prior to the meeting, IKEA spokesman Jakob Holmstrom was asked about a possible joint project. “Time will tell,” he told The Associated Press.
