Drake doesn’t back down. Earlier this month, the Canadian rapper agreed to a ping pong battle against retired NBA star Reggie Miller. Over the weekend, the face-off went down in three highly-contested match-ups, which were televised during NBA All-Star Weekend in Toronto.
Drizzy won the first bout in their best-of-three series, but Reggie wound up victorious in the end. “This is the most devastating moment of the last few years for me,” the OVO boss joked in a play-by-play commentary of his loss. “That was it.”
Yes, a rematch is scheduled to take place later this year. During the telecast, the friendly rivals announced that it could be going down during the NBA playoffs. Shortly after breaking that news, Drake fired off an impromptu performance of “Back to Back” with Shaquille O’Neal beatboxing.
Despite his ping pong L, the Toronto Raptors’ Global Ambassador had quite a busy All-Star Weekend. He coached his team to victory over Kevin Hart’s squad in the Celebrity Game, earned the key to his city, and was even in charge of player introductions during the NBA All-Star Game.
