Drake Will Not Perform at the Grammys

  /  02.08.2016

Music’s Biggest Night won’t include a Drake performance. Following a Grammy commercial during the Super Bowl that mentioned Drizzy, the Toronto MC set the record straight on Twitter.

“I am not performing at the Grammy Awards…but hey it’s the thought that counts,” he clarified.

Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Ice Cube, and Ariana Grande are set to appear during the show’s first hour, according to the ad (which you can watch below).

Meanwhile, Adele, RiRi, Kendrick Lamar, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and The Weeknd are set to perform at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 15.

Speaking of Drake-related ads, October’s Very Own also appears in a brand new Jordan spot. The #WEAREJORDAN clip, released Sunday (Feb. 7), features the “Jumpman” rapper waxing poetic about his first pair of Js. It comes on the heels of his upcoming OVO and Jordan Brand collaboration.

Drake, who also appeared in a T-Mobile Super Bowl ad, is wrapping up his highly-anticipated album, Views From the 6, which is due in April.
