Lady Gaga to Perform National Anthem at Super Bowl 50

  /  02.02.2016

Gaga is going to the Super Bowl. While Beyoncé and Coldplay gear up for their halftime performance on Sunday, Lady Gaga will have different duties for the big game.

Before the Carolina Panthers face off against the Denver Broncos, the pop superstar will take the field at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner.” She will be accompanied by Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin, who’s slated to perform in American Sign Language, according to the AP.

Gaga, who earned a Golden Globe for her work in “American Horror Story: Hotel,” joins a long list of esteemed artists who have had the same honor, including Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston.

Following Super Bowl 50, Gaga will head to L.A. to pay tribute to David Bowie at the Grammys on Feb. 15. She is also scheduled to perform her Academy Award-nominated song “Til It Happens to You” from The Hunting Ground at the 88th Oscars on Feb. 28.
