New Music: August Alsina feat. Chris Brown - 'Been Around the World'

In just one week, August Alsina will release his sophomore album This Thing Called Life. The album is now available for pre-order on iTunes with two new songs including “Dreamer” and “Been Around the World” featuring Chris Brown.

The latter samples Puff Daddy and the Notorious B.I.G.’s 1997 classic, and finds the R&B heartthrobs singing about their crazy lifestyles.

“It’s a very, very fun record,” Alsina told Rap-Up TV of the Knucklehead production. “I been around the world and experienced a lot of whatever—a lot of girls, a lot of situations, so to sum it up, that’s the song.”

On “Dreamer,” Alsina reflects on people chasing the same dream of becoming models and drug dealers. “I guess that’s how it goes when it’s all you know,” he sings.
