Bobby Shmurda may be coming home for Christmas. The “Hot Boy” could be released from jail as early as Thursday.

According to TMZ, Shmurda’s legal team has a plan to free him from Rikers Island, where he is awaiting trial on gun and drug charges.

Shmurda’s family has offered up collateral for his $2 million bond. His aunt has put several properties on the line to help set Shmurda free. His legal team has also put together a “bulletproof” 200-page document that details the source of the bail money, and is pressing to present the case to a judge right away.

The 21-year-old, who has been denied bail five times already, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, multiple weapons possession, and reckless endangerment as part of an indictment involving him and his GS9 crew. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Shmurda has been incarcerated since December. In October, Epic Records chairman L.A. Reid defended his decision not to pony up the bail money. “It made me feel like people don’t know anything about my business. It’s really not their business. That’s the truth about it,” Reid told the Rap Radar podcast. “We’re not elected officials here, and we’re not at liberty to disclose how we do business.”

He added, “We seriously don’t make the money we used to make. That’s a fact of life. Bobby Shmurda is not the same as Snoop Dogg and Murder Was the Case, who’s coming off The Chronic and his first album. It’s a different era, ya know? And, we’re a publicly held corporation. We just aren’t in the same position we were in back in those days. So, it’s a different day.”
