Video: M.I.A. - 'Borders'

M.I.A. breaks down “Borders” in the epic video for her new single, which she also directed. The outspoken rapper shines a light on the struggle of refugees with a striking visual that shows them climbing tall fences and riding boats. She stands on the beach while a pyramid of people towers behind her, always looking fresh in her fashionable wardrobe.

“Broke people, what’s up with that?” she asks as she stands in solidarity with them.

M.I.A. is working on the follow-up to her 2013 album Matangi. Over the summer, she released a video for Matahdatah Scroll 01 “Broader Than a Border.”
