Wale Drops Four New Songs

  /  10.21.2015

Wale stopped by “The Breakfast Club” on Wednesday morning for a sprawling interview about everything from his record sales to the state of MMG, taking the time out along the way to drop four new songs.

The first, titled “New Phone,” finds the D.C. native rapping and singing over a lush beat that wouldn’t sound out of place on an early Drake album. “So many years gone by, new phone, who’s this?” he sings, over atmospheric synths and barely-there drums.

On “Illuminate” featuring Phil Ade, Wale lets loose over uptempo boom-bap production. “Blue moon, blue moon, you illuminate for the world,” he sings on the chorus.

Listen to all four songs and watch his hour-long “Breakfast Club” appearance below.
