Erykah Badu has accomplished a lot throughout her career, but for the first time, she will preside over hosting duties at next month’s Soul Train Awards.
The soulstress will help celebrate today’s biggest stars and R&B legends during the ceremony, which will be taped on Nov. 6 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, and air Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. EST on Centric and BET.
Expect some unpredictable moments from Badu, who once tried to kiss a reporter during a live broadcast and even stripped naked in public in her music video for “Window Seat.”
The Soul Train Awards will honor Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds with the Legend Award and Jill Scott, who will accept the first-ever Lady of Soul Award.
The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, and Mark Ronson lead with five nominations, while Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Jidenna, and Tyrese follow with four nods. See a full list of nominees here.
