Childish Gambino Covers Tamia's 'So Into You'

Childish Gambino dropped by Australian radio station Triple J this week and performed a cover of Tamia’s ’90s classic “So Into You.”

Asked about why the song is special to him, Gambino blamed young love. “There were a couple girls I used to date who would always say ‘I love this song,’ and I was like, ‘me too!'”

With that, he launches into the tender jam. Gambino’s convincing falsetto proves more than capable of handling the song’s upper registers.

In other news from Gambino’s time down under, the rapper was booed off a stage in Newcastle, Australia after a show left fans confused. Entertainment Weekly reports that the rapper didn’t perform any music for 40 minutes, instead just standing on stage and playing songs off a laptop.

“To everyone who came to see Childish Gambino’s show last night, we are as disappointed as all of you,” reads a statement from the venue.
