Tinashe is firing up her engines for a wild Joyride. After debuting the Young Thug-assisted “Party Favors,” the R&B siren teams with Chris Brown on “Player,” the first official single from her sophomore album. Produced by LULOU and Alex Purple, the seductive duet blurs the lines between house and R&B, with incandescent synths and a slinky rhythm.

“You better stay up, player,” she croons. “I’m the man in my city, like a mayor,” answers Breezy.

“I’ve always kinda wanted to do a song with [Chris],” Tinashe told Travis Mills on Beats 1. “Obviously, he’s one of the best entertainers of our generation… It’s just exciting to be able to work with him.”

Written and recorded over the past year, Joyride also features contributions from Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Hit-Boy, Travi$ Scott, Nic Nac, and Dev Hynes.

“This time around it was fun because it’s not the same pressure as making your first album,” she said of the follow-up to her 2014 debut Aquarius. “I kind of already set the tone, set the stage, so now you can just progress and be a little bit more creative, so that’s what I’m doing this album.”
