Kanye West to Perform at Democratic National Committee Fundraiser

  /  09.28.2015

Although President Obama and Kanye West have not always seen eye to eye, the two will appear together at a fundraiser for a cause on which their interests overlap—the Democratic Party.

The POTUS and presidential hopeful are both scheduled to appear at the event thrown by the Democratic National Committee on Oct. 11 in San Francisco. The afternoon concert will take place at the Warfield, a 2,300 seat venue.

It won’t be cheap—NBC Bay Area reports that tickets for the event start at $250 and go all the way up to $10,000.

Kanye is expected to perform material from his forthcoming album Swish.

Mr. West may soon find himself raising money for his own presidential campaign. During last month’s VMAs, the rapper announced that he would be running for president in 2020. When asked if he was serious, he told Vanity Fair, “Oh, definitely.”
