New Music: Tinashe feat. Young Thug - 'Party Favors'

A year after releasing her debut album Aquarius, Tinashe is readying the follow-up Joyride. Today the R&B sensation liberates the first single “Party Favors” featuring Young Thug. Over a wonky Boi-1da-produced beat, Tinashe gets high off her own supply, while Thugger concocts an Auto-Tuned verse.

“They don’t go as hard as I do / I brought some to the party for you / I’ll mix it up and serve it for you / Party favors for you,” sings Tinashe.

Her sophomore album Joyride is due in November featuring contributions from Dr. Luke, Max Martin, Hit-Boy, Travi$ Scott, Nic Nac, and Dev Hynes.

“A big part of it was the focus going into it, which was that we weren’t going to make a lot of songs, and it wasn’t going to be so experimental,” she told Rolling Stone. “We definitely knew what we wanted going in, and we were a lot more efficient in achieving it. I have so much other stuff going on that we really didn’t have any other options!”
