Zendaya is pulling out the big guns for her second album. The Disney Channel star has tapped Timbaland for the project.
She teased a 15-second snippet of the mid-tempo track on Instagram, writing, “Z x Timb This second album…it’s lit.”
“Put you on that high-definition love / Know I got that high-definition touch,” she coos over the Timbo-produced beat.
In addition to Timbaland, Zendaya has been working with Diane Warren and Babyface on the follow-up to her 2013 debut. “I would say it’s the new wave of R&B,” she told MTV News. “It’s where I think it should be going, or it should be headed; it’s very old-school vibe, but it’s a new-age version.”
The 18-year-old superstar has done a lot of maturing over the past couple years, which will be reflected in her music. “My first album I was only 15, 16, so I was talking about stuff, but I didn’t really experience it,” she explained. “Even though it’s only been a couple of years, you experience a lot—especially being a young adult, being 18, I have a little more behind what I’m saying.”
