Future has remained quiet abut his breakup with Ciara, but he broke his silence during his visit to HuffPost Live on Monday. While promoting his upcoming album DS2, the Atlanta rapper spoke candidly about the mother of his one-year-old son, baby Future, and her new relationship with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who recently revealed that he and Ciara were waiting to have sex.
When asked about Ciara and Wilson’s decision to abstain, Future said that he didn’t wait to get intimate, and they even prayed when they were done.
“God told me something else. He ain’t tell me to wait. I guarantee you that,” Future said. “We prayed afterwards though. After we did it, we prayed. That’s a true story.”
But Ciara refuted his claims. The “I Bet” singer took to Twitter, slamming her ex for being “dishonest and ignorant.”
The couple called off their engagement in August amidst reports of infidelity.
When asked about their breakup in April, Ciara remained coy. “It clearly didn’t work out. But I have the greatest gift, the greatest joy of my life is my son,” she told “The Breakfast Club.” “I feel like everything in life happens for a reason and my son has been the greatest gift that God has given me in my life, and been the most game-changing thing that has happened in my life in a necessary way.”
