After partying at Coachella with Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj hits the desert with David Guetta and Afrojack in the video for “Hey Mama.” The French DJ took over a lakebed in El Mirage, Calif., and partied all night long in the bohemian clip, which was inspired by the worlds of Mad Max and Burning Man. Nicki appears via hologram, while Guetta and Afrojack ride through the sand on dune buggies alongside tribal dancers.
“I’m always really inspired by music festivals and the fashion that follows with that,” director Hannah Lux Davis told Billboard. “And Burning Man was something that felt like the energy of the song.”
“Hey Mama” can be found on Guetta’s album Listen, which also features John Legend, Sia, and Skylar Grey.
