New Music: Melanie Fiona - 'Bite the Bullet'

Bang bang. Melanie Fiona is back with her brand new single “Bite the Bullet.” The Grammy-winning songstress pays homage to her Caribbean roots on the soulful song, which finds her falling victim to a dangerous love.

“You think you have the ability to love two women equally / Well, I don’t have the energy to fight for your exclusivity,” she sings over the drum-patterned beat.

Melanie is working on her third album Awake, the follow-up to 2012’s The MF Life, for release on Title 9 Productions/Primary Wave Music/BMG.

On Friday, she debuted the song live in Hollywood during her promo tour sponsored by Verizon Wireless. The five-city trek will make stops in New York, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. before wrapping at the Essence Festival in New Orleans in July.
