Wiz Khalifa is feeling way up. The Taylor Gang rapper has scored another No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “See You Again” off the Furious 7 soundtrack.
The Charlie Puth-assisted song from the blockbuster film jumps 10-1, earning the largest sales week this year with 464,000 digital downloads. It also dethrones Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ 14-week reign with “Uptown Funk,” which remains tied for the second-longest No. 1 in the history of the Hot 100.
The song is Wiz’ second No. 1 following his debut single, “Black and Yellow,” which topped the Hot 100 in February 2011.
The soundtrack to the movie, which also features T.I., Kid Ink, and Iggy Azalea, also hits No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
The last time there were simultaneous No. 1s from a soundtrack and single was when the 8 Mile soundtrack and Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” both hit No. 1 in November 2002 and January 2003.
