While Lil Wayne’s Carter V gets caught up in legal drama, Young Thug is readying his own version of Tha Carter.

The Rich Gang rapper confirmed that his debut album will be called Carter 6. He posted an Instagram video with the caption, “#CARTER6 OTW,” and previewed a new song called “We Free.”

His label 300 Entertainment also used the #CARTER6 hashtag.

The Atlanta rapper previously revealed the Lil Wayne-inspired title during an interview with DJ Whoo Kid last year. At the time, Weezy had announced plans to retire after Tha Carter V, and Thugger was ready to carry the torch.

“I just feel like I’m that big,” he said. “‘Cause [Wayne] feel like after Tha Carter V, he ain’t gon’ make no more music ’cause he feel like can’t nobody make no music like that.”

Young Thug has expressed his admiration for the Young Money chief in the past. “I hope to be like Bill Gates, bro. With all the money in the world,” he told GQ. “Like Wayne, someday I want one of those kind of careers. Or Michael Jackson.”
