Missy Elliott and Timbaland Reunite in the Studio

While the stars were in L.A. for the Grammys, Missy Elliott and Timbaland were back in the lab.

Just a week after surprising at the Super Bowl, the “Get Ur Freak On” rapper reunited with her partner-in-rhyme to cook up some new music. She had fans buzzing after sharing the first photo from their studio session.

Last week, Missy revealed that the dynamic duo was scheduled to return to the studio. “We gonna get in and get some work done,” she told Sway, adding, “I don’t want to say too much because in this day and time, boy, you say something, they will come back two weeks later like, ‘Where your album at?'”

The two last worked together on Missy’s 2005 album The Cookbook.

While we await her first album in a decade, Missy can be heard on an upcoming remix to Jack Ü’s (Diplo and Skrillex) dance hit “Take Ü There.” Listen to a snippet below.
