Joey Bada$$ makes a big debut on the charts this week. The Pro Era rapper’s album bows at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
B4.DA.$$, which features appearances from Action Bronson and Elle Varner, moved 58,000 units in its first week. The bulk of that number (94 percent) is comprised of traditional album sales. The album also debuts at No. 1 on both Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Rap Albums.
Fall Out Boy earns its third No. 1 album with American Beauty/American Psycho, while Taylor Swift’s 1989 secures the No. 2 spot with 119,000 units.
Nicki Minaj’s third album The Pinkprint, which entered at No. 2 last month, holds at No. 6 with 54,000 units.
Rounding out the top 10 is Sam Smith’s In the Lonely Hour, which slides 7-9 with 50,000, and Mark Ronson’s Uptown Special (down 5-10 with 49,000).
