In honor of her 14th birthday, Willow Smith surprises her fans and drops her EP 3. The three tracks, produced mostly by AzZi, include “8,” “9,” and “Flowers” featuring her “big sister” SZA. Her newfound sound, which she describes as “rule-breaking” and “pioneering,” was inspired by her current favorite artist Erykah Badu.

“I don’t think it’s that different from what I was saying before, ’cause I was saying ‘Love yourself’ and ‘You have to live your life for yourself,'” Willow told The FADER. “Now I’m just coming to the spiritual and consciousness aspects of it. My lyrics are probably what’s gonna be packing the most punch, and my tracks are in the background just coolin’ it, like, ‘Hear what she just said?'”

The Roc Nation singer has partnered with Google Play to offer the EP as a free download for a limited time in the U.S. It is also available via All Access, Google Play’s music streaming service.

3 will hit digital retailers worldwide on November 17.
