Jhené Aiko went unplugged as part of MTV’s Artist to Watch series. Joined by a guitar player, the L.A. singer performed stripped-down versions of her Cocaine 80s-assisted single “To Love & Die” and “Spotless Mind.”
“I feel like my personality is a mix of a whole lot of things, so my music reflects that and you can’t really define it,” she said.
Jhené’s debut album Souled Out arrives September 9 featuring contributions from Common, No I.D., Key Wane, Fisticuffs, James Fauntleroy, and Dot Da Genius.
