As anticipation grows for her debut album Souled Out, Jhené Aiko faces “The Pressure” on her latest single. On the airy Fisticuffs production, she sings about the stress of a relationship.

“The way you feel is not my problem / I don’t want to see you go / But I don’t have time to solve this.”

The L.A. songstress plans to showcase the diversity of her hometown through her music. “People don’t give L.A. the credit it deserves for being creative and cultured,” she told Vogue. “We are just as open-minded as artists from other places. And we are venturing…It’s not just gangster rap.”

Just last month, she premiered the Cocaine 80s-assisted single “To Love & Die.”

Souled Out is now scheduled for a September release. Following its release, Jhené will join The Weeknd on his four-city “King of the Fall” tour with ScHoolboy Q.
