Carter V season has begun. Lil Wayne is getting fans hyped for his final album by dropping teasers through some of his famous friends.
On Monday, Kobe Bryant posted a promo photo for Tha Carter V on his Instagram and Twitter accounts. “Carter V season begins #carterV,” tweeted the Lakers star.
The latest teaser comes via Floyd Mayweather Jr., who posted a 15-second Instagram video of Weezy and Drake in the studio. The Young Money rappers bob their heads while the instrumental for a new song plays over the footage.
“#CarterV Season #BelieveMe,” tweeted the boxing champ.
Drake previously revealed that Wayne’s album would drop on May 5, but the fifth installment in the Carter series no longer has an official release date.
In addition to Drake, Wayne recently reunited in the studio with former Cash Money producer Mannie Fresh.
“I’m approaching it like it is my last project and I think that’s why it’s a lot different than everything else,” said Weezy. “I’m approaching it as if you don’t have tomorrow.”
