Beyoncé was iced out on the charts by Frozen for the second week in a row, while Kid Ink debuts in the top 3 this week.
Queen Bey’s self-titled album sold 79,000 copies in its fifth week, down 40% from 130,000 a week ago, reports Billboard. The project was expected to reclaim the No. 1 spot from Frozen, but the soundtrack sold about 5,000 to 10,000 more than expected (86,000).
BEYONCÉ has sold 1.5 million in five weeks and already surpassed the sales of her previous album 4, which has sold 1.39 million since 2011.
Kid Ink earns the only top 10 debut with his album My Own Lane at No. 3. Led by the Chris Brown-assisted single “Show Me,” the L.A.’s rapper’s major label debut sold 50,000 and claims the No. 1 spot on the Rap Albums chart.
Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2 falls 3-4 with 36,000, Lorde’s Pure Heroine holds at No. 5 with 33,000, Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz moves 13-8 with 20,000, and R. Kelly’s Black Panties rounds out the top 10 with 17,000.
