Jennifer Lopez

Jenny is going back to the block. The pop diva returns to her roots in the video for her new single “Same Girl.” In the Gomillion & Leupold-directed clip, which was shot in her native Bronx last month, she dances in the rain and waits at the station for the 6 train while wearing a Yankees cap.

The song was written by Chris Brown and produced by Amadeus, Chizzy, and Ryan M. Tedder.

“Cause I’m on the same grind/ No I never changed I/ Loving everyday I/ Know that I’m the same Jenny/ From around the way now,” sings J.Lo.

She has been in the studio with Future, Big Sean, Robin Thicke, Sia, and RedOne working on her upcoming 10th album.

“It’s Jennifer Lopez, she’s done it all. From dance to urban records, so that’s what we’re doing,” said RedOne, who signed Lopez to his 2101 Records/Capitol Records imprint and is executive producing the project. “We’re doing an album that has everything. She’s an incredible A&R herself, so she loves music, she knows what she wants, and I’m just helping her to do that album.”

On Wednesday, J.Lo will make her return to “American Idol” alongside judges Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr.
