New Music: Drake - 'Trophies'

Break out the champagne. After much anticipation, Drake debuts the full version of his celebratory anthem “Trophies,” which he previewed in the Nothing Was the Same trailer.

Over a horn-heavy instrumental, produced by Hit-Boy and co-produced by Hagler and Noah “40” Shebib, the Canadian MC reflects on his self-made success, his parents’ divorce, and his responsibilities.

“I’m just tryna stay alive and take care of my people/ And they don’t have no award for that/ Trophies,” declares Drizzy, who dropped his freestyle to Soulja Boy’s “We Made It” last week.
