While celebrities were paying tribute to Trayvon Martin on social media, Beyoncé honored the slain teenager by observing a moment of silence for him on stage during her “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” in Nashville last night.

“I’d like to have a moment of silence for Trayvon,” said Bey (via AP), whose concert at Bridgestone Arena started about 30 minutes after the not guilty verdict was read.

As she does at each show, she then sang part of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” before segueing into “Halo.”
