Fantasia emerges triumphant on the charts this week. The R&B songstress’ fourth album, Side Effects of You, debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
The project sold 91,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It ties for her highest chart position, but lowest opening week sales of her career. Her previous album, 2010’s Back to Me, sold 117,000 copies.
Despite the solid showing, she wasn’t able to outsell Michael Buble’s To Be Loved (195,000).
Other debuts this week include will.i.am’s #willpower, which lands at No. 9 with 29,000. The Black Eyed Peas frontman’s last solo set, 2007’s Songs About Girls, bowed at No. 38 (21,000).
Snoop Dogg re-emerges on the charts as Snoop Lion with his reggae album Reincarnated. The Major Lazer-produced project comes in at No. 16 with 21,000.
Meanwhile, Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience remains at No. 3 for another week, selling 74,000.
