Kelis

Kelis has been laying low, but she has new music on the way. The “Bossy” singer has completed her sixth album and is eyeing a September release.

According to Pitchfork, the follow-up to 2010’s Flesh Tone is tentatively titled FOOD. The album was produced by TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek and will be released on his label Federal Prism.

“I’m really excited, my album is done,” tweeted Kelis. “It sounds like love and summer balled up into one!”

The Sitek-produced first single surfaced earlier this month under the title “Call on Me.” It has now been officially released as “Jerk Ribs.”
