Bruno Mars Brings the Laughs as 'SNL' Host
All eyes were on Bruno Mars as he stepped to the plate as first-time host and second-time performer on this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live.” While he had no idea what to expect, the Hawaiian heartthrob showed America that he’s not only a talented singer-songwriter, but actor as well, impressing in several sketches throughout the show.
He opened his monologue with a musical number and played a sassy 17-year-old girl in the “Haters” skit. He took on Michael Jackson and Green Day hits as a singing intern at Pandora and starred alongside Tom Hanks as an animatronic character in “Amusement Park.”
The suave singer dressed as a patriotic mouse and walked around Times Square in “Sad Mouse” and sported long blonde hair and an eye patch while playing a wilderness lodge manager. And did we mention he also performed two songs off his upcoming album Unorthodox Jukebox?
Move over Justin Timberlake, there’s a new showman in town.
