Meek Mill is giving the competition a fright this fall. The Maybach Music MC will release his highly-anticipated debut the day before Halloween.
Dreams & Nightmares will drop on October 30. It was previously scheduled for an August 28 release. Meek took to Twitter to announce the new date. “Dreams&Nightmares” instores Oct. 30 !!! Eve of Halloween !!!” he wrote.
Rick Ross’ 25-year-old protégé has been building buzz with his Dreamchasers mixtapes and single “Amen” featuring Drake. “I’ma give you the nightmare side, coming up in the streets and actually being in jail…to the dream side of being on tour with Drake and 2 Chainz and Waka Flocka and traveling the world,” he told Rap-Up TV.
The Philly native is taking his time to ensure that his debut lives up to the hype. “A lot of people been shying away from the real rapping and hip-hop. I’m really representing,” he told WiLD 94.9. “When I come out with my album, I want to have a classic album, an Illmatic, a Hard Knock Life, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ type, a hip-hop album.”
Meek has already received co-signs from superstars including Mariah Carey and Nas, who may appear on the album. “I got my eyes on him. He’s the next one to take this shit over,” the hip-hop icon told staging-rapup.kinsta.cloud.
