After conquering the U.S. and U.K., Kelly Rowland is dancing her way Down Under. The “Motivation” singer has inked a deal to star in Australian television Network Ten’s new program, “Everybody Dance Now.”
Kelly will serve as a “dance master,” leading a team of contestants. The competition show is scheduled to premiere later this year, with Jason Derulo and fashion model Sarah Murdoch also on board.
“We are thrilled about ‘Everybody Dance Now’ and our return to big event television,” said David Mott, Ten’s chief programming officer. “Dynamic, creative, and inspiring, Sarah, Jason, and Kelly are the perfect fit for this fantastic new format—only good things lie ahead.”
This is not Kelly’s first foray into television. She co-hosted “The Fashion Show” on Bravo in 2009 and served as a judge on “The X Factor” in the U.K. last year.
The Destiny’s Child diva will shoot a pilot for an as-yet-untitled BET sitcom later this summer and is putting the finishing touches on her fourth album, due by the end of the year.
