It’s going to be a Fantastic summer for fans of Azealia Banks. Prior to releasing her debut album this fall, the “212” rapper will drop an EP and a mixtape.
The Fantastic project is due this summer along with her 1991 EP. “I’ve been working on SOOOOO MUCH FLY SHIT. I have enough material to drop a mix tape before my album! YAY!” tweeted the 20-year-old Banks. “So y’all will be getting, 1991 EP this month, the ‘FANTASTIC’ mixtape for the summer, and ‘Broke With Expensive Taste,’ in the Fall!”
The mixtape’s first single, “Jumanji,” will debut on Friday, May 11. She is also reshooting the video for “Liquorice,” which was originally directed by Thierry Mugler designer Nicola Formicetti.
“For everyone wondering about the ‘Liquorice’ video… I’m reshooting it AGAIN… With RANKIN! .. NEXT WEEK! YAYYYYY… Gotta get it right!” she told her followers.
Her full-length debut Broke With Expensive Taste is due this September on Interscope Records.
