Kendrick Lamar Kicks Off Coachella
A storm was brewing as Kendrick Lamar took the field at Coachella as one of the first acts at the three-day festival. Hipsters and hip-hop heads swarmed the main stage to see the Black Hippie perform cuts off his acclaimed album Section.80 as well as his new Dr. Dre-assisted single “The Recipe.”
There are reports that he will join Dre during his headlining performance with Snoop on Sunday. “People are gonna cry. I hope this ain’t people’s first [time] seeing a concert in general because after this one you probably don’t wanna see [anything else],” Kendrick told L.A. Leakers of the surprise-filled set.
