Wiz Khalifa is putting in work. The Taylor Gang leader has been busy in the studio crafting his sophomore album, with the first single to drop later this month.
“Work Hard” will premiere on Pittsburgh radio station 96.1 KISS on April 23 around 7 p.m. The Stargate and Benny Blanco-produced track is the first single off Wiz’ second major label album O.N.I.F.C., due August 28.
The album title stands for Only Ni**a in First Class and was inspired by Mobb Deep member Prodigy’s 2000 debut Head Ni**a in Charge. “These are my hardest raps ever,” Wiz previously said of the follow-up to his 2011 debut Rolling Papers.
The 24-year-old rapper released his mixtape Taylor Allderdice in March and is featured on Maroon 5’s new single “Payphone.” He will perform the Benny Blanco-produced song with the band on NBC’s “The Voice” on April 16.
