Cee Lo Green

Cee Lo Green is taking his act to Vegas. The innovative showman has officially announced his Las Vegas residency, set to kick off in August.

Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino confirmed today that Cee Lo will headline his own show, “Cee Lo Green Presents Loberace.” The “Voice” star will make his debut on August 29 at the resort’s 1,400-seat showroom for the first of 28 performances this year.

The “F*ck You” singer will transform into the role of conductor/ringmaster “Loberace,” taking the audience on a journey through music’s magic moments, from Prince to Blue Magic to the Rolling Stones, new wave to disco and beyond. “Loberace” is the vision of Cee Lo and his manager Michael “Blue” Williams.

Expect the Lady Killer’s flamboyant style and over-the-top creativity combined with his original hits and covers of his favorite songs. The extravaganza, described as “part dance party, part live intimate concert,” will feature exotic showgirls and a flashy wardrobe and stage design that promises to be unlike anything he’s done before.

“Planet Hollywood was established by fellow artists, actors, entertainers, my peers; and they’ve proven to know a thing or two about the art of being an entrepreneur,” said Cee Lo. “I am very fortunate to have Planet Hollywood as a partner, allowing me to further extend and embellish on the brand that is Cee Lo Green.”

Starting in August, shows will be held following “Peepshow” on Thursdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. and Saturdays at 12 midnight, with additional shows at 11 p.m. on Wednesdays. The performance schedule currently runs through December 29.
