WZRD has yet to release its debut, but Kid Cudi has already started on the follow-up. The G.O.O.D. Music rapper and his producing partner Dot Da Genius are recording a five-track EP for release this spring.
staging-rapup.kinsta.cloud attended a listening for the rock band’s album in Hollywood last night, where Cudi made the announcement. “We are doing an EP already and it’s going to be coming out in a couple months,” he told the crowd. “We just can’t stop making records. I made a new record the other day that’s really, really, really phenomenal. So we’re gonna put out this five-track EP just to fuckin’ put out some jams.”
Dot chimed in, “The EP is gonna be great. Expect greatness,” while Cudi added, “It’s us flexin’.”
But first WZRD’s self-titled debut will drop on February 28 featuring the singles “Teleport 2 Me, Jamie” and “Brake.” Cudi is extremely satisfied with how it turned out. “I’m really proud of myself,” he said. “I haven’t been proud of myself for a while.”
Following the album’s release, the duo is planning to launch a tour in April, which will start in Europe and then head to the U.S. “This album is something the world needs to hear,” explained Cudi.
