Kanye West may have branded the visuals for Tyler, the Creator’s “Yonkers” as the best video of 2011, but the rapper’s group Odd Future has already been steady on the rise. The Cali collective, also known as OFWGKTA (Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All), has burned up the Internet with do-it-yourself releases touting aggressive and uncompromising lyrics over dank beats.

The 10-member crew most recently made its television debut when Tyler and Hodgy performed “Sandwitches” on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” speaking with MTV News about how they want to throw the hip-hop curve.

“Rap is really just too conventional. It’s like everybody does the same thing, uses the same styles,” explains Domo. “No one ever pushes the box, and then when you get people that do push the line too far, everybody at first is like, ‘What the fuck is this?’ and then it’s like, ‘This shit is tight.’ It’s new, so there’s nothing really bad you can say about it because we’re doing something that no one’s ever done before.”
