The Doctor is in. Dr. Dre reflects on his storied career and life in the seven-and-a-half-minute video for “I Need a Doctor,” the first official single from his long-awaited album Detox. Directed by filmmaker Allen Hughes, the clip opens with the Compton rapper getting into a car accident while nostalgic images of him as a husband, father, and entertainer flash across the screen.

Years later, his loyal protégé Eminem is seen standing by his side while he remains on life support. Producer Alex Da Kid and singer-songwriter Skylar Grey make cameos as doctors who try to bring him back to life.

When he does finally awaken, Dre wastes no time getting back into shape, emerging stronger than ever. The video closes with a shot of him visiting the late Eazy-E’s grave.
