Lauryn Hill

Lauryn Hill dedicated her Saturday to a great cause. Ms. Hill provided the entertainment for actor Michael J. Fox’s “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s” benefit at The Waldorf=Astoria in New York City. Wearing a striped coat, long scarf, high-heeled boots, and an Afro puff, the Grammy winner performed a cover of Bob Marley’s “Is This Love” alongside The Roots.

Pras recently told UsMagazine.com that Lauryn is working on a new album for next year and originally passed on “Hips Don’t Lie” before it went on to become a global smash for Shakira. “I think our version was ‘Lips Don’t Lie,’ something like that,” said the Fugees member. “But Lauryn didn’t like it.”
