Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is shaping up to be a monster. During a screening of his debut film, the rapper revealed some of the special guests set to join him on his Fantasy.
West was on hand to answer questions following a screening of his 40-minute feature Runaway at London’s BAFTA screening room on Wednesday (Oct. 6). According to the BBC, the star-studded lineup for his fifth album includes Alicia Keys, M.I.A., Jay-Z, La Roux’s Elly Jackson, Mos Def, John Legend, Kid Cudi, Bon Iver, and No I.D. Keys will lend her vocals to “Lost in the World,” while Iver contributed to nine tracks.
“Three years ago I contemplated not being here anymore. I decided to stick through the pain and onslaught of the world,” a reflective Kanye shared with the audience. “The album, in a way, is me giving people what they want.”
DJ Semtex reports that West was also trying to sign M.I.A. to G.O.O.D. Music and that he is five tracks deep into his Watch the Throne joint album with Jay-Z, with more recording in France at the end of this month.
He is working on a tour due to start in February 2011, culminating with a performance “in front of the pyramids in Egypt.”
