Trey Songz takes a hit this week on the Billboard 200, while John Legend and The Roots Wake Up! the albums chart with their soulful collaboration.
After debuting at No. 2 last week, the “Bottoms Up” singer’s fourth album Passion, Pain & Pleasure slips to No. 7 with a 73 percent drop in sales. It moved another 65,722 copies in its second week bringing his overall sales to around 306,000.
Behind Trey lands John Legend and The Roots, whose politically-minded joint album Wake Up! comes in at No. 8 with 62,765. This marks the fifth consecutive album that Legend has landed in the top 10 and the sixth for The Roots, following the Philly band’s How I Got Over, which bowed at No. 6 in June.
Eminem holds it down at No. 6 with 65,846 sold of his platinum-certified Recovery, marking his 14th consecutive week in the top 10. Zac Brown Band tops this week’s chart with 153,402 units of their latest You Get What You Give, while Maroon 5 comes in second with Hands All Over, selling 141,585 copies.
Elsewhere, Barbados siren Shontelle enters outside the top 50 with her sophomore effort No Gravity, which contains the top 10 single “Impossible.”
