Eminem is on the road to Recovery. After scrapping plans for the oft-delayed Relapse 2, the rapper is gearing up to release a new album.

Slim Shady’s seventh major label studio effort titled Recovery will arrive June 22, it was announced today by Interscope Records. An all-star lineup of producers, including DJ Khalil, Just Blaze, Jim Jonsin, and Boi-1da, will join Em for the first time.

“I had originally planned for Relapse 2 to come out last year,” stated Eminem. “But as I kept recording and working with new producers, the idea of a sequel to Relapse started to make less and less sense to me, and I wanted to make a completely new album. The music on Recovery came out very different from Relapse, and I think it deserves its own title.”

Recovery is the follow-up to last year’s Relapse, which debuted at No. 1, becoming the best-selling rap album of 2009.
