Jay-Z

Jay-Z is returning to a familiar place. Mr. Carter will launch his new album The Blueprint 3 with a benefit concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City on September 11.

“Fuse Presents JAY-Z Live from Madison Square Garden: Answer the Call” will provide fans the opportunity to experience Jay-Z’s lyrical prowess up close and personal while simultaneously donating to a meaningful cause. All proceeds from ticket sales and concert merchandise will go directly to the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund.

“This charity and concert encompass the true spirit of New York City,” Jay-Z commented in a press release. “We are asking everyone to ‘answer the call’ and support and honor the families of those that lost their lives in the line of duty. There was true camaraderie and resiliency that this city showed the world in 2001, and we continue that today by taking care of our own.”

Jay-Z joins the likes of Kanye West, Dave Matthews Band, and Fall Out Boy who have all taken advantage of this type of collaborative series. Though ticket sales information has yet to be announced, more information on the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund can be found at www.answerthecall.org.

“Fuse Presents JAY-Z Live from Madison Square Garden: Answer the Call” premieres commercial-free in HD on Friday, September 11, at 9 p.m. EST on the Fuse network.
