Money comes, Money goes. Omarion has been stripped of his Young Money Millionaire title.
A song from Omarion called “I Get It In” featuring Lil Wayne leaked online Wednesday. Later that evening, Young Money affiliate Mack Maine tweeted that O was no longer on the label and that the leaked track was not official. “Omarion is no longer Young Money…the song [they] leaked ft. Wayne is not official..good luck 2 him in his future endeavors..no further,” he wrote.
A publicist for Cash Money/Young Money officially confirmed to staging-rapup.kinsta.cloud that O had parted ways with the label. “Yes, it’s true,” the rep said, without elaborating further.
Omarion responded to the reports, saying he chose to leave and was not dropped. “There’s alot of people thinking i got dropped from [Young Money],” he tweeted. “That has never nor will ever b the kase. I asked to be realeased, I didnt get dropped. I wish wayne and all of Y.m good luck for there future. There r no hard feelings, business is business, and I made a decision that I felt was best for me. ALBUM OLLUSION still koming video still koming really soon luv yall thanx for holdin me down!”
Just a couple weeks ago, Wayne publicly inducted Omarion into the Young Money family onstage at a “America’s Most Wanted Music Festival” show in Universal City, Calif. O performed “Every Girl” and moonwalked across the stage. Rap-Up TV captured the footage, which can be seen below.
Earlier this week, Omarion’s Face Off collaborator Bow Wow announced his signing to Cash Money.
