Some flee to Vegas, others go to a courthouse, but Christina Milian is announcing her elopement on YouTube.
In a self-published clip on her YouTube channel where she sports a slouch beanie, red sunglasses, and a scarf, Milian revealed that the new title of her fourth studio album is Elope.
The album’s original title, Dream in Color, was first unveiled in Rap-Up’s Winter issue. Since then, the “Dip It Low” singer has signed a deal with The-Dream’s Radio Killa Records.
“The title of my album is no longer called Dream in Color,” says the 27-year-old singer-actress. “I loved the title before, but a lot has changed, especially since the new year has hit.”
The definition of elope is to run away secretly with one’s beloved. “This next album is about taking responsibility for yourself and making your own decisions. That is why I am changing the album title to Elope. That one word says a whole lot.”
In addition to The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, she is working with L.O.S. Da Maestro, who works closely with the hitmaking duo.
Look for the first single ASAP and the album this spring/summer. “Get ready for a lot of changes,” adds Milian.
